Hi,

If you’re talking about the looping area where we have no data (pure black), that’s the plane of the Milky Way, which is full of stars and dust which make it really difficult to see outside the Milky Way, so we don’t even bother. If you switch over to the “unWISE” layer, you’ll see what it looks like (in infrared).
