I had been wondering where all the yellow Supernovae were. I had found blues and green, pink red. Finally think I found a yellow one. Now you see it now you don’t in single exposures R. Nothing in Transient Names Server for RA,Dec coordinates; 225.2152, 12.5086. Title of topic is title of Pearl Jam song.
I am wondering if this is some kind of variable star nova or recurring Nova. It seems to show up in 2015 in R and Z but be gone in 2017 only to go extremely bright in 2018. I’m thinking maybe it was bright and then faded before it’s SN. Otherwise I’m struggling to explain how it disappears and reappears. I know Betelgeuse dimmed in 2019 and other stars like Re Giants dim significantly prior to Supernova events. Could be a good one to study since we may have images of those stages.
Seems to be another unreported one

I love that it’s yellow. I’ve been calling it all kinds of names banananebula. I wish I understood more about why each SN is the color it is. Maybe it’s a Hypernova. Spectral analysis should be interesting for it.
