What is this object? Where can I find more information about it or identify its name and details?

the red object I believe you are refering to is very likely a star. I looked up the RA and Dec coordinates and was able to look up in Simbad global database. there is nothing in Simbad for that object which is not surprising as Simbad normally is limited to objects that have some published research focused around them or listed in a catalog of objects. there are so many stars that We just aren’t there yet.
As Joshua said, this is very likely a star in the Milky Way – or maybe in the Small Magellanic Cloud. If you zoom out a little, you will see this is on the outskirts of the smaller of two bright blobs/clouds in the southern hemisphere - the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, small satellite galaxies of the Milky Way.
