Red Remnant?

I know this is a stretch, but it was in frame of the other SN from last night. The single exposures are kinda interesting. It’s so distant. I’m just curious what others think of it. The red looks to me to be in that galaxy.

The red blob is a foreground star. It can’t be a supernova because it is visible in SDSS. SDSS is a survey from more than 10 years ago. A supernova can’t last that long.
