looks like a great candidate for a supernova for sure. transient in g band.

Looks like this is supernova AT 2016 coe a Pan STARRS find. I think the trick is getting below where Pan STARRS can see in the southern sky.

even though this is a Pan STARRS find, I think it is interesting that the image shown in TNS is an older one. You may be the first person to truly see it.
