I’m not sure what you mean:

  • the map cuts off at Dec=±85 degrees, because it uses the “web mercator” projection, so it gets more and more stretched toward the poles, and doesn’t show above 85 deg at all
  • the “ringing” around the bright star. That’s an image processing artifact, coming from the fact that the WISE camera just barely samples the scene well enough

Oh, thank you very much for the clarification. This is the first case you mentioned. I didn't pay attention to the coordinates.
