Another aqua nova. Kinda hiding in the blue. Nothing in Simbad (checked it twice) nothing in TNS.

Should be in mergers/interactions cat as well. Beautiful couple of galaxies

Hi, :slightly_smiling_face:

The blue spot is not a supernova because it is visible in more than one year. It is a starforming spot.

I figured out I could click on the number of posts I had for Supernovas because I had 33 posts and it was one of my top topics. So I can see all my SN posts in a list. Some of the ones I had posted are comical to me now. But I think I have gotten much better at it. I have gotten better at recognizing more than just Supernovae using this. White dwarfs are easy to spot for instance. I shared LS with my local Astronomy Club on Monday night. I told them I have been wrong a lot in my SN search. but the times I have been correct, have been glorious! The Universe is huge and the map incomplete and I don’t even really know what else to focus on. I see white dwarfs all the time that aren’t in a catalog and wonder if I should start a thread for them. I recently wrote my Governor Kim Reynolds and shared some of my favorite places in space on the LS Viewer and mentioned you Ine having discovered so much. I begged her for a new Observatory in Iowa as all of ours are older than the internet. And often drowning in light pollution in some grown city. Seems like a waste of the clear sky we have. I wish there were more People on here. I haven’t deleted anything that I had posted that was wrong because someone might learn something from them. Do you have any Supernovae that are your favorites? Or objects other than SN?
