I know there is a nebula nearby and several in Monoceros known but this doesnt seem to fit in with the color scheme. Simbad seems to think it is a Galaxy. I’d be surprised if it was unknown. On the map now if not!

Speaking of nearby nebulas happy to see this finally show up on viewer. Ironically called the Red Rectangle Nebula HD 44179. Bruce Banner I guess cause it looks green now.

This isn’t a galaxy. LEDA 18942 should be dropped, as this is really a nebula, or is a part of it.

it is definitely not a galaxy lol. but the PN is just below it. I don’t believe it is part of it. it is incredible how many Nebulas there are in this small section of space though. when I look deeper on the PN it makes me wonder if it is a reflection nebula lit up the PN or being backlit by it giving the odd green coloring. I really do think they thought it was a galaxy. part of all this advancing the line is correction.
