It’s a confusing one on Simbad because it shows several Galaxies with differing designations essentially at the same spot. the easiest answer is to its identity is IC 1251 which GiP for object type is Galaxy in a Pair of Galaxies. but I really only see the one, however I have no doubt new telescopes in orbit like JWST have seen through the arms of this distant galaxy and identified others with larger catalog numbers. most galaxies do not have nicknames or even proper names like Andromeda, Spanish Dancer galaxy or the Sombrero Galaxy, there simply are literally billions of galaxies visible here and Trillions if not infinite galaxies in the entirety of the Universe. You should give it a name. That really is all it takes I think. Some other civilizations probably named it to.
So i can give it a name?
I’ll name it, “Starrieder”
I like it. the People living there would like it to.
