I am Ine Theunissen and I am from the Netherlands. I am 51 years old, married and we have a son of 22 who studies aeronautical engineering.

I am an assistant manager of nutrition and I work in a large hospital. I have a medical assistant diploma. In addition to my work, I am taking a bachelor’s degree in dietetics. Astronomy has always been my greatest passion since I was a small child. Regularly I watch the heavens with my reflector or refractor telescope (stargazing)

I used to want to be an astronaut or astronomer but unfortunately I had this lousy math teacher…
Hunting Supernovas I absolutely love. I have discovered 114 that have been officially reported. Some by other members and most by me. In addition, I have discovered over 190 candidates that have yet to be reported.

I discovered my first supernova without even knowing it was a supernova. A fellow citizen scientist infected me with the supernova virus and I have had a great passion for supernovas ever since. This passion burns in my heart like a fire. Every time I discover a new candidate I am thrilled.
