i click on these blue objects a lot and simbad usually says white dwarf. simbad didnt have anything for this object.
i didnt even look at single exposures but it seems to be transient.
originally when I saw it I hadnt even considered it part of a galaxy. kinda out in the open.

this is a white dwarf candidate nearby. the type of object I thought I was seeing

You can see from the single exposures that it appears out of nowhere, so it will be a nova/SN of some kind

I had looked it up in TNS but it didnt show anything previously. I think I may have missed the negative symbol in front of dec number.
