They are either foreground stars in our own galaxy, or just an extragalactic object. I think this is some sort of masking artifact left in the CP.
These seem to be just very red objects. The images all look fine – most flux in the z, a bit in i, a bit in r, none in g.
Photo-zs are z~0.8
looks like distant gal. grouping on dr9 ○°°
ahh, yeah, the i band was incorrectly masked.
