Rare polar ring galaxy

That’s NGC 4650, it is a well known polar ringed galaxy.
Hubble already took an image of it.

It’s really pretty remarkable how good the DR10 images are compared to Hubble. We are so lucky to have access to this tool!

I know it is why I posted it - truly an amazing galaxy. Speaking of, how do most people convert from degrees and hours to the RA,Dec used by legacy? Normally I just use a calculator but might be a better way

If possible I never ever convert from decimal, its what im used to and find logical, sexagesimal feels archaic to me tbh :stuck_out_tongue:

I do have a perfect converter site on my PC, I’m not sure if it is the one below, will check when im on it again

I usually just use aladin lite for the conversions.
