Would you think these galaxies are also spacially close together? Like NGC36 and PGC797…

no, look like all three are far, far away from each other ~ line-of-sight plays tricks with perspective

Is that a dwarf galaxy forming on the left arm of NGC 36?

possibly just an oversized star-forming region like NGC 206 in Andromeda :cyclone:

Agreed. Would be veryyy small for a dwarf galaxy. Although not perfectly understood, most theories suggest they form after collisions of galaxies or from material and dark matter ejection from a parent galaxy.
