Nucleus or Nova

Simbad brings up a active galactic nucleus candidate, whatever that means. Seems like it might be transient. I looked it up in TNS and nothing.

The SIMBAD object is the galaxy in the center of the image.

I think this object is probably a HII region from the nearby spiral galaxy
