MJD of filters of displayed browser image

How can i verify ( without using FITS files) the date of the filters of the actual image the DECaLS webbrowser is displaying?

It is ofcourse possible that an area is imaged several times, and thus a certain area can get a long list of filters taken at different dates. But the webbrowser will not display all available images if i’m correct.

So what is the easiest way to determine the MJD of the three filters that make up the actual image in the webbrowser?

Thanks!

Hi,

If you turn on the ‘DECaLS DR3 CCDs’ overlay, you will get the outlines of the CCD images that go into the viewer images. If you then click on a point, the popup will list the CCDs. If you click on one of those, you’ll get a page like
http://legacysurvey.org/viewer/ccd/decals-dr3/decam-392430-S19-g/
The MJD itself is not shown, but the filename will tell you the date,
CP20141227/c4d_141228_065726
which was taken on the night starting 2014-12-27, at 2014-12-28 at 06:57:26.
