Is this a galaxy?

I would think so. It is either a galaxy within its own right that has been stretched by an interaction or part of the “dot” (galaxy) at the end. Neither are in any catalogues - very small

SIMBAD showing this as a quasar (I think)

The simbad quasar is over an arcminute away. But yes, this is a galaxy.
