I saw a similar object lately, but this one is even more strange, I have no explanation for a structure like that

Looks similar to the umbrella galaxy eg APOD: 2022 February 7 - NGC 4651: The Umbrella Galaxy
those plumes are typical of galaxy mergers.

I don’t know… the rectangular shape is all wrong… the shells are supposed to be more or less circular and the streams more or less radial in such cases. It looks like it has to be of a merger origin, but I have never seen structure like that in merger simulations.
