Looks like something being ejected from the core, but it’s wiggly.

This is a very dynamic scene

The upper galaxy just passed through the lower one - leaving most of its arms behind

The vertical columns of blue clumps near and far (yours is on the far side) mark the passage of the upper galaxy’s bar tips. The jags and gaps probably reflect the structure of the lower galaxy’s arm roots.
