Welcome :slight_smile: Since it’s in the south, I don’t know of any large-scale surveys that would have taken a spectrum. Just looking at it, I’m guessing it’s a little knot of star formation - looks like it’s in that wispy spiral arm.

It is rather strange to see a bright knot slightly disconnected from the arm and showing rather bright in UV. One of the extinction maps in the region show rather no dust attenuation.
