anyone know why there is a small black spot in the middle or this galaxy/star, the single exposures don’t show the same behavior
Disregard this behavior as anything special, happens with most other sources of light
I think this something to do with the image processing software. Up north, two different telescopes were used for the MzLS (Mosaic-3 camera) abd BASS (Bok) surveys, while one telescope that conducted DECaLS and southern surveys uses the Dark Energy Camera (DECam)
I know nothing about the image processing so maybe I need to ask Dustin about it.
