What does the Legacy Surveys DR10 residuals show us? And what are those two massive dark blobs near the middle of the galaxy? Thanks

The residuals is the difference over the actual model layer and image data. The models layer, if you flip over to it, are attempts to fit elliptical models into galaxies because they work for the much more smaller galaxies.
