Welcome back!
This is an elliptical galaxy. The green lines are cosmic ray hits which were never masked. They are usually removed using software but the ones in front of galaxies are harder to detect and are easily missed.
The purple is a region where the green r-band image is missing. To make colors it combines all bands together,

The DR10 image is much better, doesn’t have the artifacts.
