I saw these two colliding galaxies (IC 950) while searching through the IC and NGC catalogues. The main thing that caught my eye is how big the central bulge in the main galaxy. Does anybody have more info on this?

I dont have any defenitive info on that galaxy. but looks like the bulge has a disc of blue star forming region with another disc of dust on top of it at a different angle. Hopefully hopping with life!

You’ve just pointed that out to me! If life is there, they must be having the view of their life.

I believe there is life nearly everywhere. most places likely just have slugs. probably beautiful slugs though. Nudibranch like. We are the life that has knowledge and the fraction of the Universe that can regard itself and observe Universe, even shape matter to our will. We are more powerful than many stars. I am thankful I am not just a beautiful slug. What a blessing it is to live! I have been playing this song on repeat for two days. seems like an appropriate time to share it! https://youtu.be/xpNCfz18kg8?si=F4-6w6LNfu7YlAaE

I just watched this and since it was on the subject of habitable to life I thought you would find it interesting.

Thanks! I’ll watch it when I have time. I believe there is life everywhere, too. Most likely microbial, but still life! It looks like it’ll be a good watch.
