Faint stream of stars around this one

Interesting star stream here, oval shaped, involved with this edge-on galaxy. Even odder, the angle in which this feature presents itself compared to the host galaxy.

Also interesting is that the galaxy has a VLASS 1.2 signature.

This is a #polar #ring galaxy.

I suspect its more of a stellar stream system. Likely indicating a past minor merger.

Yes. This is when satellite galaxies enter the roche limit of the galaxy making a faint ring.
Sometime referred to the Second Polar Ring.
