Double-core galaxy?

I’ve found this galaxy, and it seems very weird with two cores well visible in DR6 to DR9 + SDSS.

Here are the linear fluxes on a colour map from this object zoomed 2x (identified by SIMBAD): the double core it’s clearest in r-band and z-band.



Neat! Maybe a late-stage merger? Certainly lots of tidal debris around!
