Do you think this ‘blue thing’ in the center of the cutoff is a real source?

Maaaybe?!

If you look at the “Legacy Surveys DR10 residuals” – which partially subtracts the large galaxy’s light - it’s a bit more clear. And if you look at the first few of the Single Exposures - the ones in “g” band -

and if you do the “astronomer squint”, I think I would believe it.
