Looks like an interacting galaxy. I am guessing that the lower smaller bright spot is the companion galaxy imbedded in the stem or tail. :wink:

Or the interacting galaxy is near the bulge on the upper right side. One would have to check the redshifts to see if the lower one in the stem is the same distance.
