A galaxy as a lens

I had wondered whether looking through a galaxy in areas that of low density with in a galaxy may act like a clearer lens than the light completely bending around a galaxy. This area looks red shifted and more distant than NGC 1365. It could a good spot to test that.

I was drawn to the area by the seemingly triangular part pointing at it.
